More About Inclusive Health Training

Hello, and thank you for visiting our page.

We are a training provider based in the South West of England, covering the Somerset, Bristol, and North Somerset areas.

Our training packages are designed to be suitable for anyone living with, supporting or working with a person who has Epilepsy. You may also wish to attend the training if you have Epilepsy yourself.

We have carefully developed our training packages to the highest of standards as we understand how important it is for people living with Epilepsy to have a good quality of life and to be safely supported.

We have been approached frequently by care providers and family members requesting in-person Epilepsy training, and we are pleased to say that we are now in a position to be able to offer this, in addition to our online training.

About us

Hello! We are Lois and Bonnie – lead trainers and founders of Inclusive Health Training.

We are both qualified Learning Disability Nurses, who have been working in the field for over a decade. Between us we have BSc Hons in Learning Disability Nursing, Post-graduate certificate in Epilepsy, and 10+ years working within an Adult Learning Disability Health Service. Our roles within this team have included Community Nursing and Positive Behaviour Support, as well as mentoring students.

During our careers we have worked closely with care providers and families, supporting individuals with complex Epilepsy, and we are incredibly passionate about sharing our knowledge and expertise to up-skill and empower others.

Having worked within the NHS for many years, we are very much aware of the ongoing need for Epilepsy Awareness Training and the devastating effect that under-training in this area can have. We decided to set up Inclusive Health Training to increase awareness of Epilepsy and provide a training package that seeks to educate others, in order to ensure that people with an Epilepsy diagnosis, are supported to have a full quality of life.
